MAID for CEO Utilities

• SWEEPER finds extraneous or unnecessary files in the subdirectorys of CEO's filing directory. These are files that are not needed by CEO and can waste as many as 100,000 disk blocks. SWEEPER provides an easy way to eliminate theses files and reclaim this wasted disk space.

• ACCELERATOR rebuilds the INFOS database used by the CEO filing system, CEO_INDEX, in one easy step. This will reduce wasted space in the index by as much as 75%, reclaiming valuable disk space and improving processing speed.

• RELOCATOR finds CEO drawers no longer owned by the user who created them and moves these drawer directories to their rightful owner(s), allowing old user directories to be deleted and the filing system to be streamlined.

• MESSENGER sends CEO reminders and notification of mail to users' consoles when they are not in the CEO environment, keeping everyone up-to-date and in touch, regardless of their working environments.

• FLATFILER creates a flat file containing user-specified information about CEO documents. FLATFILER will easily allow you to generate reports about CEO documents and can save time in recovering deleted documents from backups.

• POSTER finds documents whose corresponding AOS/VS files do not exist and provides an easy method to deleted them.

• POSTER also provides a simple method to set documents to be archived by CEO_ARCHIVER. Both operations can result in substantial savings in disk resources.

• CVERIFY discovers structural faults in the CEO_INDEX that may have been previously generated by power failures, system crashes, or bad blocks. CVERIFY can find keys and records which are corrupted and help develop a recovery plan.

• RESCUER can recreate the CEO index from database records.

• POSTMASTER deletes outdated CEO messages.
